It has been said “the difference between a man and a boy is the price of their toys” in underwater Videography and Photography this is the truest statement that can be made. This is one place that it is hard to skimp. The equipment by design is more expensive and has to operate in a hostile environment. As with land cameras the ability to control the camera can make a better picture, it is not the place for point and shot type cameras. The quality of you photos goes up with your ability to purchase the “better” equipment. Then you have to decide what is important to you. I always will come down on the side of spending more for the needed bells and whistles, but again it depends on your level of dedication and where you want ton take your “Hobby” or your “Career” or sometimes your “Art “. So are you a snap shot person or a picture taker? It is up to you and your pocket book!
