Don't know how WMAZ Ch 13 got the notion that Fort Hawkins would have fireworks on the 4th during the daytime? We will have fiddle music, a BBQ Benefit, lemonade & cookies, tours of the fort's Blockhouse Replica and dig site, plus a patriotic program at 2:00 with Col. Hawkins (see above) but no fireworks and no hot temperatures so come on out for some fun at the Fort on the 4th. Fireworks will take place way after our Celebration at other family friendly events with the Pinetoppers baseball game at Luther Williams Field in Central City Park and at Lake Tobesofkee. |
