I'm firstly quite interested as to why you suggest that you apparently believe that there may be some difference between bunionectomies performed in Canada as opposed to their being performed anywhere else.

Secondly, I know nothing of your surgeon, or what he actually told you, but if he really led you to believe that he utilizes a laser for anything other than the making of skin or soft tissue incisions when perfoming bunionecties, to use the appropriate medical lingo . . he's full of crap!

Although work is in progress on the developement of bone cutting lasers for general orthopedic work, the only such applications of which I am aware in which such techniology is approved is for certain dental procedures.
