Sorry you feel that way Beth. I had eight toes realigned without getting screwed. In the hands of a properly trained and experienced minimally invasive perctutaneous foot surgeon, internal fixation is not necessary. They have develped special external binding techniques. That means NO pins, screws, stitches, long incisions, wearing those terrible surgical shoes, inability to shower for weeks.
