I am glad that you are visiting TeachEmotion because it means that you are interested in the topic of Emotional Intelligence (EQ). If you move to the page on this web site entitled, "Articles about EI," you will find several articles I have written recently about Emotional Intelligence and share your thoughts with me. As a concerned educator, I think that our schools cannot afford to leave EQ out of the equation. Children who are not allowed to acknowledge and learn how to manage their emotions as part of their educational development are not being given a "full tool kit" with which to function. In addition, children who feel bullied, devalued, and " left out" are not able to muster their full cognitive function and apply it to their academic progress. Education must encompass both the head and the heart!!
