Hello,
In response to your question regarding your ability to partake in everyday physical requirements. Yes, you absolutely will be able to do regular things again! About 16 months ago I suffered from a Liz franc torn ligament as well. It took about two weeks for my doctor to diagnose the problem and a ton of stress because I am a ballet dancer! I learned about this thing called Gyrotonics. It is an awesome one-on-one session that (although can be slightly costly) completely realigned my body because (same problem as you) I was completely off balance.) Also, jumping, running or anything in the water will help. I used to spend about 30 min every couple of days just jumping on that foot in the water! :) Another recommendation is to take up Bikram yoga (which I did before and after my tear.) It is a regular yoga class done in a warm room that truly does help every part of the body. (google: Bikram yoga and you can find out all about it!) I hope this helps. My road to recovery was a very long one as well! I actually dance, run, ride a bike, etc as I did before I ever tore a liagment. The only way you can tell that I have had any type of surgery is the two scars left on my right foot.
I hope this helps. The best of luck to you!
