devices that receive like VHF, smartcraft sppedo, epirbs, depthfinders, etc are called listeners - devices like GPS units that transmit info are called talkers, but a GPS also is a listener on an input....for radar overlay....

All NMEA 0183 talkers can connect to 3 listeners...I have actually 4 listeners with no problem...
