Get some KNOWLEDGEABLE surgical references (not . ."He's REALLY nice!), and let that doctor give you an estimate. Since all bunions are not created equally and should not be treated as such, healing times will deviate with the type of procedure necessary, and the operating surgeon should know what his patient's average recovery time is. It doesn't matter what another surgeons average recovery time is, just the one who is operating on you.
