You still haven't responded to my question as to what it is that you do in that hospital. As I already stated, I have served as chief of my department for a couple of decades plus and I am on the inside of those meeting you allude to where other specialists as well as orthopods get together. There is no such disparaging as you have alleged. In fact, I am continually asked for consultation in regard to either advice on their treatment of patients with foot conditions or I am frequently asked to take over the care myself. I've had members of the orthopedic staff ask to scrub with me on surgeries and I scrub in on theirs. We exchange techniques and ideas. I don't know what sort of rock your hospital is living under, but my experience over many years has been quite different.
As far as your choice for yourself is concerned, that's your business and I'm pleased that you're happy with it. But you could not possibly have seen the number of cases which I have over the years, and certainly have not seen the many patients who had similar procedures performed and then had to see me to bail them out. To hopefully end this, unless you can give me some reason to believe that you have some real expertise in evaluation of these procedures other than your own experience and a few anecdotal others, I would have to conclude that my opinion is more learned than yours. |
