Thank you all. I am just so upset by all of this. I said in my first post that is WASN'T the doctor, but I realize now it is.

Yesterday was my first day back to work after 5 weeks. I had hoped the time off would help my feet heal but it didn't work and it is still very painful, probably worse than before taking my 5 weeks. Never has the podiatrist done anything. My primary care doctor did the xrays when he did the referral to Pod. All the things mentioned, he has never mentioned or even suggested there were any alternatives.

I had to see the podiatrist yesterday to get a return to work and for the millionth time he said "these things normally resolve themselves." But it's been almost a year and it just keeps getting worse. Even my good foot is getting much worse because I favor my bad foot so much. I'm sure the bunion, which is new, is a result of twisting my foot to try to keep the pressure off of it.

As for the bone spur, when the podiatrist saw the xrays he said "you have a bone spur in your left foot". I told him that the pain was in my right foot. He said "Ahhhh, that proves my theory." I guess he was talking to himself more than me because he didn't tell me what theory it proved.

I guess I will just go outside of the Military facility. I have to 20% co-pay but I'd rather do that than take a chance with my feet.

I hate to doubt the doctor but there are just too many things that have bothered me. Mainly that he never remembers me from one visit to the next and always suggest trying the very thing he tried a few weeks before. And he always tells me that most cases heal themselves. I don't think he even looks at my records to see what all we have tried since I first saw him at the beginning of March.
