Kim, have you tried icing. I treated my pf with exercise and icing. I iced 3-4 times a day. I can't be sure if the ice did the trick but my pf is gone.... however I am also dealing with another painful condition called morton's neuroma... ouch, it hurts. My doctor wants to do surgery but I am going to try acupuncture first.
It sounds like you need to see another doctor. Even though it'll cost you money, if you can possibly swing it, do see someone else.
