How impressive that you, as a lay person, has "looked into the history of MIS in foot surgery." But I have asked and asked again as to what manner of credentials you have in this area which qualifies you as capable for such an evaluation. As you have yet to respond, one would have to thus conclude that, indeed, your only credential is your uneducated opinion and that word you bandy about so freqnently . . "ego."
You have no idea of that upon which you pontificate, Harry. To lump endoscopic hernia, gall bladder and spinal surgeries, all of which are done with state of the art endoscopic visualization, with MIS foot surgery which,
aside from one or two procedures is performed totally blind, epitomizes your ignorance of the topic.
Furthermore, for your information, the one and only officially recognized Board in Podiatric Foot and Ankle Surgery is the American Board of Podiatric Surgery (ABPS), so I don't know what you mean when you state that you have seen the requirements from "several boards."
Finally, my duties as Departmental Chief in no way mitigate or conflict with either my private practice or my on-service practice, or my time in the OR, so, once again, Harry, you're barking up the wrong tree.
